oh yea again..

but before that, ladies, the twentyseven concepts’  Luxe Convertible dress is back!! and it’s in BLACK!! so GO AND GRAB IT BEFORE IT’S GONE!! (i bought the pink/cream coloured one! check previous post here)

note: it’s not on Jipaban (maybe yet) , so you’d have to buy from their own site. but who cares as long as you get the nice versatile dress..no? =D

guess what? streamyx in my house decided to put up a strike yesterday afternoon because of..er i dont know why. but it sure inflicted alot of pain on us..

called 100 and couldnt do anything until brother was home. so i used my phone to go online.

still, didnt get any better (if you consider the modem’s internet light moving from red light to yellow light is one, that is)

so the very sad,gloomy and disappointed me decided to give my own phone a try as a  modem to my laptop.

worst. try. ever.

because not only it didnt work, I COULDNT EVEN GO ONLINE WITH MY PHONE AFTER THAT!! settings went havoc!!

Urbanites 101: DISCONNECTION KILLS. or almost.

 

 

this morning , dad couldnt stand it anymore so made me call the 100.

after all the checking and confirmation, the customer service personnel decided that the solution is to reset the whole connection.

so there, we got our streamyx back.

*yay*

 

but not so fast. i still have problem with my phone. *curse*

went all the way to the telco centre , just to be told that the customer service personnel only comes in at noon. =_=

so the very kesian me had something in McD while surfing with the free wifi. #allhailfreewifi  =_____=

 

and finally the customer service personnel came and started troubleshooting my phone.

after some gruesome wait (i forgot how long,but yes, gruesome enough) my phone’s internet is alive!! =D

although its an advert, it truly show us the importance of having everything, yea, including your life, insured.

i said:

“ya, my mum actually forced me to buy a health and accident insurance (as well as for my current illness) when i started working for my gap year at 19. i didnt really get the point of having insurance other than saving up ,now i know its some sort of back up for us when we really have something happen. of course, we have to be careful with the policy written, and must be really clear what it covers. i had prudential too. im glad my mum have the knowledge and mind to teach us(my siblings) these social knowledge =)”

 

at this point, you might come up with all sorts of facts that says insurance cheat or whatsoever, but at least you know you have something to back you up (even though abit) when something hits, as long as you’re clear with the policy and what it covers and insured amount bla bla bla.

 

secretly, i actually have the same view with my friend that we wont bother to get treatment when we have terminal illnesses. coz we know it would cost way more than a bomb and you’ll die eventually, instead off R.I.P in your own ‘comfort’.

*yea, do ask Leftenan Muda Choo (my brother la…..)  how much does a bomb cost.

 

plus, you wouldnt wanna burden your family at the time, thats too much. for me it is.

luckily my mum have it all covered (muacks!) she is a government servant, my dad was as well. so the mini mini thing can be done at minimum cost (most of the time none) in government hospital.

thanks to my mum for teaching us these social knowledge (and social responsibility), so i know how to teach my *future children* .

(i thank her for bringing me up to resist bad temptations and independent –oh well, i had my pre-birth teachings practically in primary school ,didnt i? hah! that’s why im weird and geeky!)

seriously, she even learnt all about Public Mutual Fund at this age of near retirement!

ok, my dad as well, semi-expert in 4D (no kidding, kick-me-blur probability, kill-me-please geometry and trigonometry, as well as whack-me-up index and logarythm) i say, seriously.

well, to explain a lil more: 妈祖(Ma Zu, Mother Goddess) is actually the sea goddess widely praised around the Chinese community of the South East Asia (and that includes Taiwan).

every year, there will be a major event and ceremony of welcoming the sea goddess in places around South East Asia. (well, Malaysia has been practicing that years ago if i'm not mistaken, from a newspapre report.)

there was this legend, where MaZu used her flowing skirt to halt and stop the American atomic bomb hitting Taiwan during WW2 (=_=''') and that she can save children from death...as well as , her responsibility as a sea goddess- saving fishermen and the boats on sea voyage.

it was funny they say that: one should call MaZu when shouting for help on sea instead of TianFei ( Her Highness from Heaven) because when heard the former, Mazu will come immediately without grooming herself while if one shouts the latter, Mazu will have to dress up before coming (=_=''')
