the dig and hide

went to the Big Bad Wolf english books warehouse sales,digged, and got this:

 

anybody remember this?

im not sure about others but this series is what i’ll definitely go after every time i go to my secondary school’s library.

[yes im a library go-er!]

there were also other series like Full House, Charmed, Sabrina and etc but i think this series made us go to the extend of hiding it behind shelves when we wanted to borrow it home so much but we have no credit left that day. and the purpose of hiding it is of course to unofficially ‘reserve’ it til we return other books and have enough credit to borrow it home.

but! i’ll usually dig deep and score some of them. bwahahahahah!!

[eh wait..to those who know and have ‘reserved’ them before but couldnt find it after that, sorry  for ‘cancelling’ your reservation ruthlessly!! im sorry ok!! =p ]

did i hide some too? erm i guess so..dont really remember doing that. =p ahahhaha…..

but yes, this series has gone from Sweet Valley Twin, Sweet Valley Junior High, Sweet Valley High,Sweet Valley High Senior Year, Sweet Valley University, and many other special series for thrillers/horror  (halloween), or valentines and etc.

so this book is like a sort of an explanation and sort of a closure. dont know. havent start reading YET!

i remember when i found NovelHut (if you know it) much later and had enough money, i went mad inside just digging and scouting for some of the interesting stories to buy home for just a few ringgit each.

oh yeah that’s quite a lot of digging.

those were the days when i have time to read, right. *sigh*

thats why when we went to the Big Bad Wolf we didnt buy much unless the story is really worth to read or else my shelves will burst. =_= but book-digging? yes. alot.

so i guess the next mission is to read more (besides other pending artistic tasks).

DIY wall decor stickers

i bought a book some time ago (yea when the three shelves of books are still left untouched =_____= i know, ok.)

it was about this DIY wall decor stickers.

i know we have loads of wall decor stickers we can buy from bookstores but i want something uniquely me.

so when i saw this book i bought it. not because of the DIY steps but the tips and pattern/design.

so i went round and round just to find the so called sticker paper, in A4 size, and in the colours i want.

also, the MT tape (what i found are decoration rolls/tapes,work for me)

(finally found it in MrDIY in Ipoh Parade  if you want to know.)

then designed a little, and cut them into pieces according to the designed patterns. books,european street design from book,and the fake shelves.

there are some tricks like using magic tape to hold the draft and sticker together when you cut with the pen knife.

but overall it’s not so hard (unless you wanna do alot of complicated design)

 

so first, i pulled the striped decoration tape to make fake shelves. then put on the fake books (leaving some space), then the european street design.

The Bliss

life is really rough, i know.

but i always believe a well done meal can soothes the soul and prepares it for the next round of tough fight.

went to Hot Jack along Jalan Pasir Puteh this afternoon and the meal cheered me up almost instantly.

i’m not a foodie so here’s a real foodie’s review:

what i know is, the honey lemon tea was so authentic and flavourful you can see the pulps.

Also,the Bratwurst,tomatoes and casper tomatoes spaghetti and the Duo Salmon were both exciting combinations that really please the taste buds.

well, thanks to Kyle’s recommendation. (ok i know, going there was a spontaneous decision, double date next round ok?)

it’s not easy to find such worthy meals.

 

other things that keep me going (and hoping) are mails from online purchases.

it’s wan wan’s latest comic!!

i waited for it to come to malaysia’s Popular but it never came (until now =_= )

so i chose to buy it online from Eslite 诚品, the famous taiwanese bookstore.

and didn’t regret at all! coz mine was the taiwan published first edition, which has limited edition transparent book cover decoration sticker!

(ha! i know that’s a mouthful but yes!)

the other day i went to Popular again and i saw the comic finally came in. it’s in simplified chinese. but it doesn’t have the limited edition sticker. ahha!

well if you want to know, the literal translation to the comic title is “ can we/i continue to be childish?”

basically it’s about how she sees life in a more humorous and less serious perspective.

i know. it fits perfectly, right?

we all need it.

woke up early , only to find the rain is pouring like nobody’s business =_=

so i chose to sleep back and woke up again at 7+

it was still raining….. ~!@#$%^&*

my housemate missed class too coz he cant walk out, i wanted to ask him to take the car and we go out together but its too late for his class. *sigh* wait then.

around 9, i heard the guys preparing, i peeped and there we go, decided to go out together with my rusty old car.

had vegetarian breakfast before loading the vouchers to my pendrive to print it out. *glee* =D that later.

1st stop, campus to meet Ms Yoges, only to find her on leave =_=

ok.

next stop, Central to reload and recharge my electrolite =.=

i scared i will faint.

went out of Avenue K 1st to go Public Bank to ask something.

i continue to KLCC, which is also the main main main main main purpose of today’s trip. =D

hahah! geeky me then went to the annual book fair.

 

we were required to check our temperature before entering (only the convention centre compound, why huh? =_= )

then given a sticker to confirm we’re clear =.=

 

i straightaway purchased the entrance booklet+wrist band. RM2

as soon as i entered, i faced dilemma. =( fiction or non-fiction?

fiction is..FICTION, stories read and ditched, usually.

non-fiction is..BORING, but inspiring and if its good you will definitely read again and again.

so?

 

Tada!! 3 books of women psyhcological growth, which i seriously think will help me =.=’’’’’ coz its really inspiring as i read the table of contents, like, i will definitely want to know.

 

 

yea, and a book as an anniversary gift for him. a book for future =p
